There are some variations between the Cal State University, University of California, and Private University systems. Please refer to the links below for each system's specific course requirements.
The last exam that will count towards college admissions is the December test date during Senior Year. Some universities may require you to take it earlier.

If you are interested in taking the SAT please click the logo and you will be directed to the official website where dates and sign up information will be provided. The SAT subject exam is no longer a requirement for UC schools, however some majors and private schools may still recommend or require that you take a subject exam.
PSAT Link
The PSAT is a practice exam for the SAT reasoning exam. It is given once a year on campus in October. We encourage 10th and 11th grade students to take this test to prepare for the SAT. This is not a requirement for college entrance. Registration information will be provided in September at Back to School Night.

If you are interested in taking the ACT please click the logo and you will be directed to the official website where dates and sign up information will be provided. For students applying to UC's and some universities you will need to take the ACT with writing as well.
